The Gambia Launches Phase 5 Validation Workshop to Strengthen Critical National Infrastructure Cybersecurity

WARDIP Phase 5 Validation Workshop Begins with Cybersecurity Audit Capacity Building for Critical National Infrastructure

QUALISYS Consulting is supporting the implementation of the Phase 5 Validation Workshop under the WARDIP project, which commenced with a specialized capacity-building programme designed to strengthen cybersecurity audit capabilities for Critical National Infrastructure (CNI).

The workshop officially opened with remarks from the Project Coordinator of WARDIP, alongside the representative of The Gambia's Ministry of Communication and Digital Economy, reaffirming a shared commitment to strengthening national cyber resilience through collaboration, knowledge sharing, and institutional capacity development.

During the first day, participants explored the foundations of effective cybersecurity auditing, focusing on internationally recognized audit principles, professional ethics, evidence-based auditing, auditor competencies, and governance practices that contribute to stronger institutional oversight and cyber resilience.

As part of the Phase 5 Validation Workshop, this programme supports ongoing efforts to validate and strengthen cybersecurity governance frameworks while enhancing institutional preparedness and promoting resilient digital ecosystems capable of responding to evolving cyber threats.
